Ray Lamb is the majority owner of HOT GOLF, INC. as well as the head golf & teaching professional. Renowned as one of the top teachers in the state, Ray instructs beginners, high school players, college players, other PGA Professionals, and Tour players. Before becoming a Class A PGA Professional he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, with a minor in Biology (Education Certificate) from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor ('86) and a Masters Degree in Education from Baylor University. ('92). A former high school calculus teacher and high school golf coach, Ray has received numerous awards for his work with junior golf and is often (almost annually) recognized by the Professional Golfers Association of America and the North Texas Section of the P.G.A. for his efforts. In addition to publishing several instructional articles in magazines such as PGA Magazine, North Texas Golfer, South Texas Golfer, he also recently published his book, Golf Made Simple, which serves as a college text book and compliments his previously produced instructional video, "Golf Made Simple". Ray serves as a college golf instructor at Baylor University and as an instructor for The Internet Golf Academy and Find A Lesson.Com.

Ray was instrumental in the establishment of a junior golfer's association in central Texas and has been a key leader in the continual development of The Marstaller Motors Junior Tour, which has grown in size and tournaments every year since its origin. He founded the Heart of Texas Junior Golf Academy to act as a bridge between introducing kids to golf and getting them to a point at which they could actually play and compete. Our academy has become a model for other academies and junior programs.

Ray gives approximately 2000 lessons per year and conducts 12-15 corporate and junior outings, camps and clinics. He works with 22 local school programs which have won 34 state titles the last 23 years.



Jordan Cox is a minority owner of HOT GOLF, INC. as well as a golf instructor and the marketing coordinator. Prior to returning to his hometown of Waco, he served as the Director of Communications and Training of Upward Unlimited, Inc., a national youth sports ministry organization partnered with over 1000 churches in almost every state and several foreign countries. Jordan served almost five years as Minister of Recreation and Communication at the First Baptist Church of Amarillo, Texas. His expertise in marketing, communications, media, writing, and programming leads him to speak and present at various national conferences. He has written various chapters for books and had numerous articles published in national periodicals. He was the Executive Director of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame from 1994 - 1997 while also working as an ad-junct professor in the Communications Studies department at Baylor University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/Television-Film in 1986. A former sports anchor at KWTX-TV (CBS) in Waco and KRDO-TV (ABC) in Colorado Springs, he received several honors as a radio play-by-play announcer and television sportscaster since his career began in 1981. He has covered a myriad of major sports events all over the country including Super Bowls, the NCAA Final-Four, and several events on the PGA Tour. His stories and shows have aired on ESPN, Fox Sports, and Home Sports Entertainment.



Joel Williamson has been a member of the P.G.A. of America since 1992. A native of Mexia, Texas, Joel has 12 years of collegiate coaching experience having served as head golf coach at the University of Texas at San Antonio and at Barry University in Miami, Florida. A United States Army veteran, Joel holds bachelor's degrees in both Exercise Physiology and Psychology as well as a Masters degree in Education from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He has served as an instructor at the Heart of Texas Golf Academy since 1999.




Ron Ewing has served as an instructor of junior golf with the Heart of Texas Junior Academy since 1993, and was involved in the developmental stages of the program. An active member of the Northwest Optimist Club of Waco, Ron is involved in many civic projects that benefit area youth. He is a computer programmer for Data Systems Share Tech in Waco.







Jon Antunes is joining the HOT Golf Academy this year. He is from Belton, TX and graduated from Belton H.S. in 2000. Jon has been teaching golf on a part time basis since he was in high school. He graduated from Baylor University in 2004 with a degree in Business Management and is enrolled in the PGA Apprentice program working towards becoming a Class A PGA golf professional.

Jon was a member of the Baylor Men's Golf team and lettered all four years. He was a playing member of the 2001 Big XII championship team. Jon, who was an Academic All-American at Baylor and graduated with a 3.5 GPA, also was a member of the Big XII All-Academic team. He has competed at the highest level of junior, collegiate, and amateur competition playing in two U.S.G.A. Public Links Championships, and one U.S. Amateur championship.

Jon has also had some limited professional tournament experience. He has played in two Texas State Opens and has advanced to the second stage of U.S. Open qualifying twice.
